Important Notice: The High Commission of India has revised the visa fee for Tourist Visa and Research Visa for all UK nationals with effect from 17 January 2013. All applications submitted in person or sent by post should be as per the revised fee. Please Note: All applications submitted in person or received by post on or after 17 January 2013 with the incorrect fee will be returned back to the applicants. Date of Notice: 11 January 2013.

The India Visa Application Centre is officially authorised by the High Commission of India, London to accept applications for all categories of visa except Emergency cases or Diplomatic/Official visas and to return processed passports back to the applicants.

Our work is administrative in nature, and we have no impact on the outcome of the decision or the processing time. These are determined only by the High Commission of India or the Consulate General of India.

Applicants are solely responsible for the applications they submit. Any false documents or other misrepresentation of information in support of their application will have a direct bearing on the judgment of their application by the High Commission of India and its Consulate Generals in the United Kingdom.

The visa applications will be accepted at India Visa Application Centres as per the county Jurisdictions specified by the High Commission of India / Consulate General of India.

Please note that it is a mandatory requirement to be present in the United Kingdom at the time of applying and obtaining an Indian visa.

Step 1 :	Click, “All About Visas”. Confirm the visa type based on your reason for travel prior to submitting your application online. Please do not make any confirmed bookings.
Step 2 :	Complete your Online Application form. Please note that on and after 23 November 2010, no previous versions or handwritten forms will be available on the website or accepted at any of the India Visa Application Centres. Please note: Visa applications will be accepted at India Visa Application Centres as per the County Jurisdictions specified by the High Commission of India/Consulate General of India
Step 3 :	Once the application has been completed online you must download & print all form/s and document checklist as per the visa category. All the applicants are required to submit the signed Declaration Form along with the visa application form.
Step 4 :	Check fees payable, payment options and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section All About Your Visas.
Step 5 :	Sign form/s at all indicated places.
Step 6 :	Ensure photos are strictly as per the New Photo Specifications.
Step 7 :	Check processing time to plan your travel accordingly.
Step 8 :	Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete as incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
Step 9 :	Submit your Application along with the passport and required documents at any of our India Visa Application centres in UK in person to the respective Jurisdiction OR by post to our centralised postal processing centre.
Step 10 :	Please note that appointments for submission in person can be made online via the following https://www.visaservices.co.in/IHC-UK/(S(py0gan2fs1jqet55qm3 wea45))/Index.aspx however, these are purely optional. You still have the choice to complete your application with all required documents and walk into the visa centre without an appointment, though this may result in a slightly longer waiting time before you are seen at a counter.
Step 11 :	“Track your application” online.
Step 12 :	Your passport will be returned to you by the mode of delivery opted by you when submitted. Allow for 2-3 days transit time for postal or courier return applications. Transit times differ by location and do not take into account any public holidays.
