Return of Passports
Once we receive your passport(s) from the High Commission or Consulate General, we can arrange the mode of delivery in either of the following options:

Counter Delivery
Processed passport(s) should be collected from the India Visa Application Centre where the application was submitted. This service is not available at our collection centres (Manchester, Glasgow and Cardiff) and the processed passports submitted at these centres can be returned through DX secure, UK’s leading independent courier and Mail Company. Only one processed passport can be returned in one envelope.

Applicants are requested to provide the original receipt issued at the application centre at the time of submission.

Please note: All applicants are personally responsible for their receipts. Delivery of passport(s) would be done to the bearer of the original receipt. Hence, you are strongly advised to report any loss or theft of receipt immediately to the India Visa Application Centre where you submitted your application.

DX Courier Delivery
India Visa application centre in Hayes has been using DX secure, UK’s leading independent courier and Mail Company, for returning the passport(s) to the applicants who wish to use the service from us for a nominal charge of £7.40. DX secure www.thedx.co.uk offers a trusted, reliable and secure service with a signed for delivery by the recipient. This service will be accordingly extended to all India Visa application centres in the UK.

Please remember a maximum of one processed passports shall be returned in one envelope. You are requested to pay the charges for the same along with the visa fees and VFS service charges.

Mode of payment could be made by cash or debit/credit card when an application is submitted at the counters and we accept Postal Orders only for Postal applications. Please note the postal orders need to be addressed to VF Services Ltd.

Royal Mail
The Indian Visa application centres can arrange the delivery of your passport(s) to be sent with your pre-paid Special Delivery Royal Mail envelope to your home/office address. This service can be provided if a special delivery envelope is enclosed with your visa application at the time of submission at the counters OR also submission by post.

VISA APPLYING
PROCESS


Step 1
Click, “All About Visas”. Confirm the visa type based on your reason for travel; do not make any confirmed bookings.

Step 2
Complete your application online. Please note that on and after 23rd November 2010, no previous versions or handwritten forms will be available on the website or accepted at any of the India Visa Application Centers.

Step 3
If the application has been completed online you must download & print all form/s, read and complete Checklist.

Step 4
Check fees payable, payment options and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section All About Your Visas.

Step 5
Sign form/s at all indicated places.

Step 6
Ensure photos are strictly as per New Photo Specifications

Step 7
Check processing time to plan your travel accordingly.

Step 8
Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

Step 9
Submit your Application along with the passport and required documents at any of our India Visa Application centres in UK by person to the respective Jurisdiction or by post to our centralised postal processing centre. Postal applications need a minimum of 10 working days to be processed. This does not include the period they are in transit to and from the High Commission or the Consulate General.

Your passport will be returned to you by the mode of delivery opted by you when submitted. Allow for 2-3 days transit time for postal or courier return applications. Transit times differ by location and do not take into account any public holidays.
