Centralised Postal Processing Center

With Effect from the 22nd of April 2009, all postal applications are processed at our centralised Postal Unit below.

Please check details below before you post your visa application.

Postal Process:

You can complete your visa application form online and send your completed application along with your valid passport, two passport size photographs and copy of the requisite documents directly to our postal application centre. Please refer our website for the Documents Required for the different visa categories. Please send your application through Royal Mail Special delivery service or a courier in order to avoid any loss in transit. VF Services UK Ltd., will not bear responsibility for any loss in transit.

Please ensure that you must print the visa application form duly completed & signed when posting to our postal Visa Application Centre.

  • Self addressed Special Delivery Envelope (SDE) for return of processed passports. Please remember maximum two processed passports shall be returned in one envelope. Hence, as an example, for a family of three please include two SDEs.

    In case you haven't paid online, please send a Postal order with the visa fees and service charges. Once we receive your passport from the High Commission or Consulate General, we can return it to you in the SDE.

If you're unable to send the SDE envelope, VFS can arrange to return your documents through secured delivery by DX secure, the UK’s leading independent courier and Mail Company for a nominal charge of £7.40, maximum TWO passports per envelope. You are requested to pay the charges for the same along with the visa fees and VFS service charges.

With effect from the 20thof July 2009, India Visa application center in Hayes has been using DX secure for returning the documents to the applicants who wish to buy the envelope from us for a nominal charge of £7.40. DX secure www.thedx.co.uk offer a trusted, reliable and secure service with a signed for delivery by the recipient. This service will be accordingly extended to all India Visa application centers in the U.K and it is not affected by the Royal mail strike.


Mode of Payment

Kindly include a postal order as the mode of payment favouring "V F Services (UK) Ltd-London" while applying through Royal Mail. Do not send cash or credit card details along with your application via post.

If a family or a group is applying for a visa together, they can pay the visa fees and the service charges for all the members by one draft or postal order.

Postal applications need a minimum of 10 working days to be processed. This does not include the period they are in transit to and from the High Commission or the Consulate General. Application once sent in post can not be withdrawn unless there is an emergency for which documentary evidence shall be required. VF Services UK Ltd, shall not bear responsibility for any delays in postal transit or loss in transit owing to third party involved.

Please note:
Incomplete applications or applications with insufficient funds will not be processed and shall be returned.

Please finalize your travel arrangements only after you obtain an appropriate visa.

Important Note: The postal application will take 1-2 additional days due to the Re-direction of post from our Birmingham and Edinburgh centers to the Centralised Postal Unit at Hayes.
